A permanent arrangement does not have to look the same in every season. Its surroundings can do much of the work. A different position, a change of vase where the arrangement allows it, or a quieter set of accessories can shift the mood without replacing the flowers.
Keep a consistent base
Choose a palette you enjoy throughout the year. Ivory, white, soft pink and green can move between seasons because they work with a wide range of interiors. A fixed arrangement can be refreshed by changing its setting; a loose-stem display gives you more freedom to change the balance of flowers.
Before moving anything, check whether stems are fixed into their base. Avoid pulling out bonded stems or trying to change a vase that is part of the finished construction. Style around the piece if its design is intended to stay intact.

Edit rather than crowd
Seasonal styling can become busy when every object changes at once. Start by removing one accessory and moving the vase slightly. Then add a single new texture or colour. The flowers should still have enough space for their outline to be visible.
For loose stems, make changes in small groups. Keep your strongest focal blooms and adjust supporting greenery if the construction allows it. Do not add so much foliage that the original silhouette becomes hidden. Step back after each change.
Care for pieces between displays
Dust flowers before putting them away and let any permitted damp cleaning dry completely. Store loosely in a box with enough headroom to protect the flower heads. Label the arrangement or group of stems so you can find them without unpacking everything.
